Aotearoa Surf’s 2 night surf tour is the ultimate surf and adventure experience for domestic and internationals students, travelers and locals 14 years or older.
Based in the stunning beach town of Mangawhai, this all-inclusive surf tour offers expert coaching, epic activities, and an unforgettable weekend by the sea.
Whether you’re completely new to surfing, have a bit of experience, or are just looking for a weekend of fun and adventure, this tour offers the perfect mix of awesome accommodation, waves, water activities and great company.
With transport included from Auckland Airport, Auckland CBD, Albany, and Warkworth, all you have to do is hop on our Aotearoa Surf Bus, sit back, and let the good times roll.

What’s Included in the Surf Tour
This surf tour is packed with value and adventure. You’ll enjoy five professionally guided surf sessions & lessons across a range of iconic east coast beaches including Mangawhai, Te Arai, Langs Beach, Forestry, and other secret spots depending on the wave conditions.
We chase the best surf each day to make sure you get the ultimate experience.
All your surfing equipment is provided, including surfboards and wetsuits, but feel free to bring your own gear if you prefer.
To welcome you into the group and set the tone for the weekend, we host a special free dinner on the first night, giving everyone a chance to meet, relax, and get stoked for the days ahead.

Just 90 minutes from Auckland, Mangawhai is a laid-back coastal paradise. With crystal-clear water, sandy beaches, and consistent surf for all levels, it’s the perfect base for a weekend of ocean adventures.
We’ll also explore surrounding surf spots like Te Arai, Langs, and Forestry Beach – we go where the waves are pumping!

From the consistent, fun breaks at Mangawhai to the crystal clear waters of Te Arai, every beach offers something special.
You’ll also visit Langs Beach with its rolling swells and the secluded Forestry Beach, perfect for peaceful sessions away from the crowds.
Our flexible itinerary means we chase the best waves each day, guided by local surf experts who know where conditions are best.
Multiple Surf Locations
Whilst we are based at Mangawhai we operate up and down the coast chasing the best waves.. From Mangawhai, Te Arai, Forestry, Langs, and beyond.
Transport
We make it easy for students to join the fun. The tour includes return transport on our Surf Bus with convenient pick up and drop off locations in: Auckland Airport or Auckland CBD, Albany & Warkworth.
Surfing
Our surf tour includes five professionally guided surf sessions, each designed to build your skills and confidence in the water, no matter your experience level. All equipment is provided by Aotearoa Surf Video Analysis + FREE photo package
Activities
While surfing is at the heart of this tour, there's plenty more to keep the stoke high. We include a range of fun and adventurous activities to make the most of Mangawhai’s natural playground. Stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking on the calm estuaries. Sandboarding down the local dunes, and finish the day with a game of beach volleyball as the sun sets.
Accommodation
You’ll stay in comfortable shared glamping teepees close to the beach and town centre. You will be roomed in same genders and can request to room with a friend. Our surf camp provides everything you need for a great night’s rest, and good company. With chill-out zones, group dining spaces, and that classic surf camp feel, it’s the perfect home base after a big day in the water.
Meals
Kick off the tour with a free group welcome dinner on the first night. We will stop at the local supermarket on our way to camp base to pickup snacks for the weekend. You are also welcome to bring snacks with you from home. Our camp offers kitchen and bbq facilites for you to prepare meals for the day and be ready for non stop action. PLEASE NOTE - NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED
