 Have a Go Surf Day – 2017!

Bringing youth in the community to the sport of Surfing!

A safe, easy & fun ‘learn to surf’ day for all level of surfers with prizes and giveaways from Aotearoa Surf & our sponsors..  and totally FREE!

Aotearoa Surf & the surf industry are committed to bring more and more people to the sport of surfing & paddleboarding and there is no better way to showcase than to give our future generations the opportunity to try surfing when they are young!

 Offering kids and young adults (4-16yo) who may be new to surfing, beginners, intermediate surfers or have never surfed before!

 Learn to surf with Aotearoa Surf! 

All surfboards, wetsuits, sunscreen and coaching provided by Internationally qualified and experienced instructors, first aid certified and surf lifesaving awarded. Covering beginner and intermediate level lessons incorporating beach education and safety!

Ages 4 to 16 with scheduelled times for ages and skills.

Where: Te Arai Beach, #1 east coast surf beach in the area. Possibly Mangawhai Heads Surf Beach (may change pending conditions – we contact you via email leading up to the event)

Whats included:
 Everything! Surfboards, wetsuits, Instructor coaching, Surfboards / Surf Gear Giveaways and a fantastic experience. Surfers are welcome to bring their own surfboards and wetsuits if they wish

What to bring: Towel, warm change of clothes, good footwear!

How to Book:
Please book at the bottom of this page selecting age group and experience, select how many surfers, their details, add to cart and checkout! Its very easy!

If having difficulty deciding if intermediate or beginner then only choose intermediate if your child has either had several lessons before or has been surfing 2+ years. Intermediate surfers  can or are very close to catching unbroken green waves on their own. Or select intermediate if your child already has attended the Wave Warriors ‘Junior Surfers’ After School Surfing program.

Important: 95% of the time our surf events happen without fail!
It is possible that the weather/sea conditions may be terrible in which case we will reschedule to the following day Sunday 24th September or the following weekend Saturday 30th Sep. Lets pray to the wave gods!

* IMPORTANT * – This program is primarily intended for residents in the Mangawhai, Te Arai & surrounding areas however is open for all of the general public nationwide to book. Only in extreme demand Aotearoa Surf reserve the right to prioritise bookings.
