Shapers Union high-performance, custom surf epoxy lay-up, with a clear UV-stable resin and satin rub finish utilizes a CNC-cut 36g EPS core, hand-shaped to detail, with wet lamination of full 220g (8oz) biax glass + 4oz deck and 4oz bottom with additional overlap on the rails + 4oz n patch and fiberglass-reinforced tail patches. This lightweight, durable shortboard offers plenty of flex for ultimate performance.
About the shaper
Marcie grew up surfing in Australia and started designing surfboards at the Aloha Factory back in ’89. Coming from a traditional, yet eccentric background, Marcie integrates key components from proven vintage shapes in his creations. Looking at the different shapes he creates, the lines and rockers, you can see the evolution of proven high-performance shapes, taking advantage of the latest constructions and techniques available.
