Our home turf, the beautiful Te Arai, is rated Auckland’s number one beach on the East Coast. It boasts white sand, crystal clear blue water and safe, easy and consistent waves which are perfect for beginner and intermediate lessons. In addition to Te Arai, we have access to a variety of other East Coast beaches, including Mangawhai, Orewa, Omaha and Pakiri.
Each of our surf lessons, whether in a group or private, aim to teach beginner students a range of surf skills including beach awareness and understanding the wind and waves, surfboard design and use, how to catch waves, a good paddling style and how to master the pop up technique and riding the wave.
For those a little more advanced, we look at teaching students how to accelerate and turn the board, getting out the back, positioning and wave selection and timing, take-offs and getting down the line!
Whether you are a complete beginner, or simply, need to brush up on a few skills, our expert instructors will help you to take your surfing to the next level.
