Whilst we are based at Te Arai, we are a mobile surf school and are not restricted to any one beach. We operate at the beach offering the most suitable conditions on the day, in the local area, depending on swell size and direction, wind direction and tides. Similarly we do not operate the lessons at fixed times each day so we can respond to the varying rhythm of the waves and tides.

Learning to surf with a family group or group of your friends is a great way to learn to surf and share the experience of having fun in the ocean. Classes are run by Wayne Glover who is fully accredited with Surfing New Zealand, Water Safety New Zealand and Life Saving New Zealand. Wayne will structure the lessons and coaching to get you up and riding quickly and enjoying the surfing experience as safely and comfortably as possible. Our lessons, equipment and coaching style are designed to enable individuals to progress at their own pace and in the most suitable conditions.
What to bring: Beach wear, towel, water, waterproof sunscreen.
